HARDY: Skibble, dibble, skeeble, skee
beedie booble,
labo skoodle deedle.....
BEANO: Har Sinai, what are you doing?
HARDY: Oh, I'm just gettin - skeedle
doodle skoodle deedle doo
ready to sing the skibble dibble song.
(Skabble skooble skeeble....)
BEANO: The skabble skooble song?
HARDY: No, the skibble dibble song!
(scooba dooba scooba skabble skooble.... )
BEANO: What, my friend, is the skoobie
doobie song?
HARDY: Skibble dibble.
The skibble dibble song.
That's where you rhyme skibble dibble
with any Mitzvah in the Torah and sing about it!
BEANO: I just don't understand!
HARDY: I'll tell you what.
You practice saying skibble dibble and I'll sing the first verse.
BEANO: Good idea
(skabble, skooble...)
HARDY: Skibble Dibble Dee,
Skibble Dibble Doo.
This is what I do
when I go to Shul.
I Daven to Hashem,
Hold my Siddur close and tight,
Each Tefillah must be said just right.
There's Mah Tovu, Adon Olam,
Lots to say and sing.
Shema Yisroel,
When I kiss my Tzitzis strings.
And when my Tefilah's over,
I feel so warm inside,
I thank Hashem,
and I'm filled with pride.
CHORUS:
Skibble Dibble Dee,
Skibble Dibble Doo.
This is what every little
Jewish girl and boy must do.
Because a Mitzvah
shows that you're thinking of Hashem each day.
HARDY: Well, what do you think?
BEANO: I think I can skibbly-bibble
a bibibble,
if you diddly allow me toodle!
HARDY: Well! go right ahead!
BEANO: Skibble Dibble Dee,
Skibble Dibble Donnica.
This is what I do,
When it comes to Chanukah.
I light my Menorah
Every night I add a flame,
I eat lots of Latkas,
And I play Dreidel games.
And don't forget the presents,
The joy we feel each night,
when we make these Brachos
For the festival of lights.
We thank Hashem for the victory,
And don't forget the story of the Macabbees.
BOTH: Skibble Dibble Dee,
Skibble Dibble Doo.
This is what every little
Jewish girl and boy must do.
Because a Mitzvah
shows that you're thinking of Hashem each day.
HARDY: Skibble dibble dibble
Are the words with which we dabble.
Skabble dabble deedlely doo,
BEANO: Learning the Mitzvos are so
much fun,
when you Skaba-dabba deeba deedle
dabba deedle dum.
HARDY: Skibble Dibble Dee,
Skibble Dibble Doo.
There are lots of Mitzvos
all the Kinderlach must do.
BEANO: For the Torah is our life,
And we guard it like a gem.
This precious gift
That comes from Hashem.
HARDY: The Yingele that goes to shul,
The Meidelle that gives
Tzedakah to an Ani,
That's the way we live.
BOTH: And now our skibble dibble song
is almost done,
Won't you join us and please sing along...
Skibble Dibble Dee,
Skibble Dibble Doo.
This is what every little
Jewish girl and boy must do.
Because a Mitzvah
HARDY: Shows that you're thinking
of Hashem,
BEANO: Thinking of Hashem
BOTH: Thinking of Hashem each day.
TALMI: Skibblely, babelly....,
BEANO: I think we get the picture!
TALMI: Boy, what a tough crowd!
