Once a little neshomele
so high up in the sky,
Waited for the perfect time,
to spring into a life.
Here on earth a mommy,
Said a prayer without a sound,
Asked Hashem to recommend
The neshoma to come down.
Hashem makes many miracles,
Some mighty as the trees,
Some, brighter than the stars above,
Some tickle like a breeze,
And in a world that's filled with miracles,
Hashem's busy as can be,
But he took the time to make a nes,
The nes of you and me.
Do you hear that? - It's a baby!
A neshoma's found a home,
Oh, it must feel tight and stuffy,
Compared to where it used to roam,
Such little hands and little feet,
So hard to believe at all,
Just look inside the mirror,
You know you were once that small.
Hashem makes many miracles,
Some natural as can be,
Some fill the world with laughter,
Or sail the roaring sea,
But in a world that's filled with miracles,
I would have never dreamed,
That He'd take the time to make the nes,
The nes of you and me.
This little baby in my arms,
will grow as time goes on,
And do so many mitzvos,
As his limbs get big and strong,
And that special little neshomele,
that once flew high and free,
Will learn that doing a mitzvah,
Makes one the best that he can be.

Some small, some large, some free,
Like an ant, an elephant, a little bird,
The world is full of these
And in a world that's filled with miracles,
Hashem's busy as can be,
But he took the time to make a nes,
The nes of you and me!
