MENORAH BRACHOT - BLESSINGS

ONE CANDLE IS ADDED TO THE MENORAH EACH NIGHT.
CANDLES ARE ADDED FROM RIGHT TO LEFT.
ON THE FIRST NIGHT, LIGHT THE SHAMESH CANDLE,
(the one at a different height)
AND ONE CHANUKAH CANDLE.

BY THE EIGHTH NIGHT, YOU LIGHT ALL THE CANDLES.
ALWAYS LIGHT THE SHAMESH CANDLE FIRST.
WHILE HOLDING THE LIT SHAMESH CANDLE,
BEFORE LIGHTING THE OTHER CANDLE(S),

RECITE THE BRACHOT.

SAY BRACHOT #1, #2 and #3 ON THE FIRST EVENING.

ON SUBSEQUENT EVENINGS, SAY ONLY BRACHOT #1 and #2.

BRACHA (BLESSING) # 1
Bo-ruch A-toh Ado-noi E-lo-hei-nu Me-lech Ho-olom A-sher Ki-de-sho-nu Be-mitz-vo-sov Ve-tzi-vo-nu Le-had-lik Ner Shel Cha-nu-kah.
Blessed are You, L-rd our G-d, King of the universe, who has sanctified us by His commandments, and has commanded us to kindle the lights of Chanukah.

Blessed are You, L-rd our G-d, King of the universe, who has kept us alive, and has preserved us, and enabled us to reach this season.
