A kindness G-d grants humans is that they slowly forget tragedy, and grief softens over time.
The tragedy of 9-11 must NOT be forgotten though, due to its magnitude, the continuing threat, and to honor the fallen.

You may use our Menorah as a guide:
Visit us at candlelighting time for a reminder of how many candles to light:

  • In Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe, add one light to the number displayed.
  • In the Americas, you should see the correct number of lights for the current evening if you visit our page after 3:00 p.m. EST. (except Saturdays, Dec. 24 and 31, 2016 when the correct number of candles will be put up approx. 6:30 PM EST).
